Pixlr E has a more Photoshop-like layout while Pixlr X is more basic. The main difference between both is the layout. In my opinion, there isn’t much of a difference between both. Pixlr E as claimed by Pixlr is a more advanced version of Pixlr X with added functionality. Can’t make selections like in Photoshop. No shortcuts for many functions like increasing brush size so the workflow isn’t very fast.80+ filters are available but very few are good or usable.Easy shortcuts available for basic functions like Ctrl+Z for undo and Ctrl+Y for a redo.Retouching: Repair tool (blemish/pimple remover), Clone stamp, Bur tool.Filters: 80+ filters are available in the editor.Curves adjustment layer: Gives ultimate control over light and basic colours.
Other basic adjustments: dehaze (removes the haziness in the photo), sharpen, fringe (removes coloured fringes on the edges of the subject in the image), posterize etc.Blend modes available just like in Photoshop.Colour Grading: Temp., Tint, Hue vibrance, Highlights, Shadows etc.I expected it to be quite bad but surprisingly the results were okayish AI cutout: It automatically detects the subject and cuts it out.
Pixlr X can export images to JPEG, PNG, PXD, and WEBP. Its functions include basic adjustments like removing backgrounds. Pixlr X has almost all of the basic functionalities like resizing, cropping or straightening an image.
